Acupuncture and Nourishment Counseling
Acupuncture
Our bodies contain rivers of qi, or energy, which are also known as meridians. When we are in a state of balance energy flows freely through these meridians. But in times of “dis-ease” the rivers of qi can get blocked, which then creates more distress. Acupuncture is one technique for releasing stuck qi. By shallowly inserting fine needles into blocked meridians and stimulating the body’s energetic system, acupuncture encourages return to alignment, relief from pain and restoration of physical and emotional health. We treat both children and adults.
Common Conditions Acupuncture Can Treat: Stress, Anxiety, Depression, Insomnia, Heartburn, Acid Reflux, Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), Chronic indigestion, Chronic loose stools or constipation, Acute and chronic gastritis, Morning sickness, Nausea and vomiting, Muscle pain, Back, neck and shoulder pain, Muscular-skeletal pain in general, Headaches and migraines, Menopausal symptoms, Sinusitis, Allergies, Infertility, and IVF
Nourishment Counseling
Chinese medicine strongly believes that food is the one medicine we take every day, and that making wise food choices can have profoundly positive effects on our overall physical, emotional, and spiritual well being. Nourishment counseling will help you select foods that will help you meet your physical and mental health goals. There is no one diet that is right for every person. We are complex and unique and require individual attention to figure out what foods work best for us.
Unravel the mystery of how to nourish yourself in a supported context.
It is important to remember that therapy involves a commitment on both our parts. For you, this is in the form of time, money and energy. Our commitment is to do the best we can to listen, understand and assist you with the issues you bring to our sessions.
